Long bed vs short bed
Ordering a new Chevy 3500 truck and have everything narrowed down besides long box or short box. I have a 2005 dodge diesel with short box and tow 12,000 lbs and have no problems. I'll be upgrading ...

I have had both long and short bed trucks and towed with both. (It should be noted that both trailers were over 30 feet in length) and the long bed wins hands down in regards to towing stability and ride comfort.
You do have to be mindfull about manuvering in tight parking lots but it's a small thing to deal with to have a stable and comfortable tow.
I have both and have towed with both pulling the same trailer.;)Depends a lot on how the truck is set up.
