Longbed tailgate will hit camper when hitching

I have been searching the forums and cannot find assistance with regards to a longbed truck. I went from a sb truck to a lb truck and have the Reese Elite Pro 20k hitch. When I am hitching my camper...

I have the B&W Patroit on my F350 DRW. I have about 4 inches between the top of the the tailgate (when down and trailer hitched) and the front compartment of my FW. I can turn quite a ways without contact.

my Tailgate is secured against theft, so taking it off is a long process I don't do unless absolutely necessary.
my B&W is setup in the most forward position (making the smallest space between the tailgate and trailer)
