I'm looking at a 2000 32LX. It seems to be in great shape and has been stored under cover. There is no carpet and the owner said they took it out and installed laminate. The refrigerator has been replaced with an electric only, larger unit. The couch has been replaced with a futon. What to you experts think of this? Should I just walk away or pursue it further? Is the 2000 model supposed to have the hardwood floor? It has 3 slides with rear living area.Thanks in advance!

It would depend on what you plan to do with it, and the price of course. Even though these were a pretty well made unit back in the day, it is still 17 yrs old! Unless you are a handyman type, you could run into a lot of repairs with a FW this age, and 3 slides.You may want to hire a tech to look it over, before purchase.Jerry

If you plan to buy it and just park it on some property to live in or use occasionally and the price is real cheap, then you might consider buying. If you plan to hit the road and travel I would look at some other RV's something that is no older than 10 yrs. or less. The newer the better in the long run.

I will echo the sentiments above, for sure get a thorough inspection.Even though the fridge is a new residential there is still the HW tank, microwave, furnace and A/C that are 17 years old! If you get a clean bill of health on the unit and its dirt cheap then I would go for it. Even the the best made and best maintained rigs have the potential for big problems at that age.Best of luckDaryll

Having been under a cover is a definitely a plus. I would still look at the roof and for signs of water intrusion and delamination. Those are big ticket items. I would consider no carpet a bonus. Not sure about the fridge. Depends on how you plan to camp.

I have a 2005 Cardinal mine has been a good rig will keep for a while longer.If was to sell I would start at 10k.That guy is asking too much for a 2000 offer him 5k that would be my top offer.

I'd pass, too much $$$! Also, IMO he has fixed/changed things as cheap as possible! If furnace left not working, what else?

Lots better out there for that money!

Thanks for all the ideas. Our camping is normally within 100 miles at maybe 10 times per year. I'm a little worried about this one. You mentioned it would have to be worth the money and he wants $10,500 and I just found out the furnace is out too.
