looking at this 5th wheel

My wife and I are looking at the Montana 3850FL. We currently have the Raptor 3712. It was great for haulin the toys around. But we are getting ... slower in this stage of life. The kids are gone. It would be nice to just relax. We love the front living room. And the fact that it is separate from the Dinning area is awesome. Plus it has a KING size bed and awesome bedroom.

Does anyone have one? What are your thoughts?

Thank you,
Dave
  • I can't speak to this particular manufacturer but we're accepting delivery on our front living room/lounge this Friday. There are so few of the FLs out there but it's clearly for us. Best of luck to you.

I, too, am very interested in the 3850 but unable to find one at a dealer. I like the fact it has a bathroom off the aisle and a back door. I don't care for the walk thru bathroom in the 3750.
  • Must be something in the water as my wife and I are also getting ready to trade our TH for a 3750. Just waiting on the dealer to get back to me with the right price. MSRP for the model we are looking at is $99,850 and the dealer has quoted me a price of $59,900. So looks like a pretty good deal.
  • Before buying any new RV I always suggest that you first look at used of the same make. Those a couple of years old will give you a good idea of how well that particular make will hold up over time.
  • My wife and I were also looking at the 3750FL. Like you we love the front living floor plan. However, I think we've decided on the Montana Mountaineer 375flf. (Haven't bought it yet) It's the exact same floor plan as the 3750FL, but it's lighter and only has one door. One other feature that we found out about is that if the sides are closed on the 3750FL, you can't get to the bathroom except through the second door, and you can't get to the bedroom. So if you're pulled into that Walmart for the night and can't open the slides, you can't use the bed. Plus the frig in the 375flf is in the slidout which actually gives you more room in the dining room/kitchen area. Just my opinion though.

Edit: Oops, I thought the 3850 was a typo. I didn't realize that Montana had out a new 3850FL. Disregard above. Sorry
