I have bought 2 small freezers on CL, one for the RV and one for the S&B. 85% off retail price :).
My experience is that food will stay frozen for 3.5 days without electricity, in moderate temps (e.g. not over 80 or 85 in the daytime, and cool nights).
Don't put your freezer near your engine or other heat source :). And make sure it has lots of ventilation. That might be a problem in a storage compartment.
If you put it under your bed, or elsewhere in the living space, it will keep you warm at night.
