Looking for a Toy Hauler/Camper for my Harley

Hey glad to assist. The one thing I don't like about the 19RR is the door is in the rear which means you have to maneuver around your bike when it is loaded if you should stop for a night and don't want to unload, or want to use the restroom en route or grab a soda or something. That's why we upgraded. Otherwise, it's a great little trailer.

Are you sure those numbers you posted are right? They seem a little on the light side to me. My Tundra was listed at 7100 but my F150 is at 1100 something (but I would never pull that much). If those numbers are right, I think you might want to think about a new TV. There are some nice half ton towable toy haulers out there.

If not I might also mention that there are a few pop up toy haulers out there. I had a Scorpion that my Tundra pulled well. Sadly they don't make those anymore but there may be used ones or similar ones available.

The trailer was good in that it was low to the ground and very light but it was just a basic trailer and everything you wanted (like bathroom, beds, kitchen) was extra. By the time I got what I wanted, I was up into the 25K range.

No problem lol.

The ones that have the beds that pop out the side don't require you to unload the bike to go to sleep. They are also the smallest and lightest.

Jswerve after first reading your original post I thought you were talking about getting a cargo type trailer. I think I went down the wrong road, any way don't go too big and don't go so small that you have unload the bikes to go to bed. Good luck

I really like the smaller haulers all aluminum with the side pop out bed vs the front bedroom. I am just looking to enter the RV world easy. We are ok with sacrificing the first time out. We don't have anything but hotel rooms at the moment.

You won't be too light on the tongue weight without water either, the load in the rear will just off set the heavier front weight. I doubt that I'll ever tow mine with water in the tanks.

You're right it was an overly broad statement. But I would advise any one buying a Toyhauler with the intention of pulling it with a half ton to put it on the scale loaded with the toys and the water, then do the math.

Check out VRV, you can choose the size that fits your need. Check out there web-site, or face book for ideas. I've had a 22' with a tip out bed, and now I've got a 26' front bedroom. With plenty of room for my Stallion in back, you could put two dressers in back no problem!
