looking for a users manual

Hi folks,
I am new to the forum. purchased an Alpenlite Medina earlier this year and it is missing it's owners manual. I am hoping that I might find some one that has one or could somehow make a copy of one for me.
It is very difficult to get along without an owners manual. At least for me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rob
  • Our 5th wheel had no manual either, so we requested one from the manufacturer. They sent us a catalog of new models! Just hoping nothing seriously goes wrong.
  • They usually have the electrical, both AC and DC plus the gas line schematics plus the water system layout. Those can be very important especially if you want to do any alterations. Rob
  • If the Alpenlite owners manual is anything like the one we got with our Keystone Montana 3400RL it will be next to worthless. A generec manual for all Keystone 5th wheels which refers to other manuals that are not included. A complete waste of paper. On our first outing we had a landing gear fuse blow. Not documented anywhere in the owners manual and the fuse wasn't even in the fuse panel. It was hidden in the front garage as an inline fuse and was next to imnpossible to find. No documentation at all.
  • What n7bsn said. Camper manuals usually say things like "to keep the camper cool, turn on the air conditioner", or "keep cold food in the refrigerator", etc.
  • It's probably not missing, just never had one. :) Most of the "manuals" are just a collection of the various appliances and subsystems on the unit. I've yet to see a real owner's manual.

You'd think for the thousands of dollars they charge for these things, they could spring for an actual user's manual, but nooooooooo.

What are you looking for exactly? The Alpenlite manual for the rig? The manual(s) for the appliances and sub-components? Both?

You do know the "owners manual" for most rigs is fairly skimpy on real useful info, and does NOT include the manual for the oven, the A/C, the furnace, the water-heater, the axles, the.....

For those, you can get PDFs from most of the manufacturers web-sites.

However if you are looking for a good "how things work and how to fix them", get Bob Livingston's book "RV Repair and Maintenance Manual" (sold at Campingworld and some books-stores)
