toy haulers are awesome - i can see why some people live full time in these things -
i guess the main reason for my post was this - i'm under the impression that the big toy haulers are meant to be taken 200 miles to the closest dunes, then parked for a week - and, the little ones have a lot more "ease of use", meaning they are more practical... they can get in and out of ski resorts easier, lake parking is easier, etc....
traveling with 3 adults and 2 kids, we want something with 2 bathrooms... meaning only 40ft and up....
Am i right to assume these things? or am i overthinking this -
Toy Haulers can be used anywhere, any time, for a short stay or long stay...There are no dunes around here, just mountains, lakes and rivers...more than enough to keep us busy. Don't know about ease of use, we have a 40' 5er now, with 4 slides and it's pretty easy to take and do whatever we want to with it. We're looking at a TH to retire in...Would only be two of us and our dogs, (grandkids on occasion), but would use back section to store things and have exercise equipment and bicycles....Everyone has their own idea of fun and function.
We have ski resorts, but if it's snowed enough to support them, it's not normally conducive to tow in that kind of weather to get to them...Most of the TH's we've looked at either have a bath and a half or two full baths....
Me thinks you may just be over thinking it a bit.....I'd take a TH 60 miles from the house for a Friday, Saturday Sunday weekend or full time in it at various places through the year. Do a weekend or do two, three weeks....
