Looking for something that doesn't exist?

Posted in the 5'er forum and copying it here:
We have had a Keystone Laredo for about 4 years now, we love it, it is what it is and we are good with that.

We are looking to upgrade and fell in love the room and design of the toy haulers, but alas, we do not own any toys.

We like the Heartland Road Warriors, the larger ones, but what I want is a regular 5'er with a Toy Hauler rear end. Think the front and salon of a RW 425, but in the Garage area, No ramp door, a couch that ran along the back wall, and only one queen that descends from the ceiling. Everything else the same except, we would not need the weight capacity of hauling toys so you could make it lighter, not a show stopper though.

Does such an animal even exist? Thoughts, ideas, leads??

The only two bedroom ones that I find are either pull out couches or bunk rooms. How hard would it be? Guests would even have their own door to their bedroom and their own bathroom.

It is a win win, but cannot even get close to one in current production.
  • I would never go back now that I have a toy hauler and all I haul in there are kayaks. It makes a nice office or extra bedroom once unloaded and it can be furnished anyway you like.
  • We pretty much used our toy hauler as a regular camper for the first couple years. Gave us the additional room for young kids and their toys.

They make the drop down beds with a sofa option that folds up like a futon to be a sofa during the day and a bed at night.

Some day you may want to carry a golf cart or something and the toy hauler door would then be useful.

We saw a toy box TT today at Anaheim Angel Stadiums RV show...the ramp was a flat platform even with the toy box floor...with a metal railing mesh rail all the way around it...ideal for little kids or dogs...and a powered awning over the top! It even had a full screen awning available. We really likes it and don't even have any "toys" for the garage! It even had TWO double door refrigerators.

Walked my 2 month over for his first RV Show. We (I) was rather disappointed in the TH selection. By the way they advertised it, I would have thought there would have been tons of models. Not so much.

X3 You may find you have a toy one day and will be glad that door is there.

  • I agree with Donn, and should you want to have an awesome rear patio you could utilize the ramp for that. At first we traveled with the toys a lot, but now we use are TH more as a regular rig as the toys only make the trip about a third of the time.
