Louvered Tailgates
I was talking to a fellow with a truck like mine, pulling a 5th wheel larger than mine, saying that he gained 1 1/2 MPG by replacing the tailgate with a louvered one. Does anyone confirm that ?

Yes, BUT that was with an empty bed! We are talking with a 5er setting over the bed. That destroys the air cushion created with the TG up.
It would be intresting to see the results of a test with a 5er in tow and the different types of TGs.
