Sure I would like to take my golf cart to Arizona. HOWEVER the living area is set up with a single large U shaped settee made for a family of 8 or ten, TV viewing angles suck with the TV high and off to one side. Wasted bunks everywhere you look for two seniors that want to winter in the South and take their roadbike or GC. Garage is very utilitarian with more bunks that a senior could care less about. Then we could talk about exterior graphics!!!
Give me a half+ width garage for the golf cart and a nice computer, hobby and/or office room in the other half. Chris
Granted most toyhaulers have traditionally been for the family and lots of ATV's or motorcycle toys for weekends at the desert sand dunes, etc. But as the baby boomers age maybe some manufacturers will make what you are looking for. Have you looked at the Airstream PanAmerica. It is designed for two adults, an enclosed eleven foot garage with no bunks, no TV up high, no U shaped sofas, etc. The garage could make into a nice office and lots of seniors are into Airstreams of all types so any senior minded person would feel right at home. And it is Airstream through and through without the loud and fancy graphics of most haulers. In fact, it it hard to distinguish between the Pan America hauler and a regular Airstream without looking very closely at the back.
Travel to Sturgis to the motorcycle festival each year and the haulers are there by the tens of thousands with baby boomers and seniors bringing the motorcycles. Many seniors have adapted the hauler to fit what they want it to. I am sure you could do the same as well until a manufacturer makes exactly what you want for your golf cart.
My issue with most toyhaulers is they are too utilitarian looking inside and out. Some are nicer than others inside -- Fuzion and Voltage make nice looking interiors in the living area. But the whole interior and exterior package taken together still has the ambiance of utilitarian. Maybe that is the 'rugged' or 'macho' look. I don't know.
