Manual Langing gear issues

We are having landing gear issues. We do not have a motor on them, just the crank handle (that's the next project). Here is my issue: the leg the gear box is mounted to runs down at half the speed of the other leg (on the passenger side). So when the passenger leg is to the block, the drivers side leg with the gearbox still has quite a ways to go. Does this mean the gear box needs to be replaced? Or is there another problem?

Thanks!

  • both of the legs are new. There is a shaft that goes between the 2 legs that comes out
  • sounds like one was replaced and has a different pitch on the acme screw so it goes up & down faster. The gear box is usually before both landing gears. Do you have a solid round shaft going between both landing gears?
