The Michelin Agilis is already at some retailers in 14” sizes. I’m sure more will follow.

They are all from the European LT market. Not the C following the size. It denotes European commercial LT tires.

I have always read that by design, all ST tires carry a 65 MPH speed restriction, to obtain their aprox 10 percent higher load rating. Remove that speed restriction and one is really using more than normal mirrors and magic to get the higher rating.

Someone with the new Carlisle Radial Trail RH should take a picture and post the speed rating on those, as we are hearing they also have a higher speed rating, via more mirrors and magic.

Discount Tire, but hey what do they know?

A higher load rated tire requires more air pressure. A load range D tire is 65psi, a load range E tire is 80psi, and so on. Rim has to be designed and able to hold the higher rating of air pressure to prevent possible catastropic failure.

Because rims are not "RV" rated. They are rated by weight capacity and pressure rating.

And yes, if you put a tire capable of handling 80 psi on a wheel only rated to 65 psi and pressurize the tire to 80 psi, the weak link is now the rim.

I would be looking for a weight rating to cover the entire trailer GVWR.

Calvin, a 16/32 tread depth and wide tread design, this tire is build more like a LT tire than other ST tires on the market.

Page 32 here gives more details. Tire above weighs 43.1 pounds. One rated at 3420 weighs in at 40.9. Looks like this company buys into my long standing weight theory!

The OP currently has *fifteen* (15") wheels on his trlr.

So - for the suggested tire/s - he still needs new wheels.

Although the correct weight for the Maxmiler 15" (LR-E) is 32 lbs,
your "weight theory" is a good one.

Suggest -besides checking the specs- "heft" (lift) a tire and also try to "compress" it by pushing down by putting all your weight on it.

Try that "hands-on" with an LT XPS Rib -vs- an ST GY Marathon!

Had a Saleen Mustang. Came with "V" speed rated tires.
