MaxxAir vent covers

Asking for opinions: We are going to have two Fantastic Fans in our camper ceiling. Want to get the MaxxAir covers. They now have Fan/Mate which says it is for the Fantastic Fan, etc. Comes in white or black and is hinged for cleaning purposes.
They have the MaxxAirII which comes in white, tinted or black and is hinged. http://www.maxxair.com/products/rain_covers.php
Which one does everyone like, if any? If no, why not? I was hoping to get tinted one rather than black which would let no light in, but the camper does have skylights in addition to the vent fans. But, maybe best to get the one for the Fantastic Fan.

    We have two MaxxAire II vent covers over our 2 vent fans, they are easy to clean and were simple to install. We have standard Ramble (renamed Camping World) vent covers over our non-fan vents. All our vent covers are white and all are still intact, none are showing any significant signs of wear although they have been sitting in the full sun for the past 5 years or so. Love being able to leave them open and no water gets by them even in heavy downpours. One of my favorite mods, should come standard from the factory IMO.

    I have tinted ones in the sleeping areas and white in the bathroom. Works for us.

    We like our Fanmate covers. The exhaust end is slanted so it's very unlikely any rain would blow in. We've kept our vents open in some hard blowing rains with no problems.

    I would get all Maxxair or all Fantastic fan components to match.
    Why the mix and match?

    I just installed one for a Fantastic fan, it hinges for cleaning, as far as color I went with white but just to match my other ones. not really sure you gain a lot of light in through a cover anyway.

    We have Camco Aero-Flo Vent Covers purchased from Amazon. Easy to install, easy to clean and have yet to let any rain in. We went with black ones to totally block out all of the light.

    We were not wanting to mix and match. We need to decide if we should get the MaxxAirII or the Fan/mate which says it was specific to the Fantastic Fans. We will have two Fantastic fans..one in bedroom and one in living area. I am now wondering if the black would get hotter and dry out the plastic. We have MaxxAir covers now and they are white and there is still lots of light coming in. I also worry the black would look funny on a white roof ??? Keep the input coming. THANKS

    I installed three grey maxxair to basically match the color and decals of our Jayco Jayflight TT. Two things I like about the grey, the color to match and the solid to keep light out at night.

    I think it looks sharp when I see the newer dark color RVs with black or smoked maxxairs and ac covers.

    We are using the Fantastic Fan "Ultra Breeze" vent cover and it works great with our Fantastic fans. We also opted for the smoke color.
