Are the maxis st tires any better than the rest. I have 230/80/16 tires now and I don't think I can go to the 235/85/16 due to clearance I have blown power King and marathons I am trying to find a goo...

Yep, Maxxis 8008 tires are certainly one of the better ST tires available and I've had great service from the sets on my TT, but with a 16" rim on a 5er that has had issues with blowouts I would definitely go with one of the LT tire options mentioned above.
Although Maxxix 8008 tires generally deliver increased reliability and longevity over competitor's tires in this category, they eventually succumb to the same ilks and demise inherent to ST tires after 4-5 years. They are indeed a good option for rigs that only have room for a 15" or smaller wheel.
