You can't trust the brochure anyway, so you shop with a tape measure.
Traditionally, and legally as far as DOT is concerned, length is from the kingpin to rearmost.
Most fifthwheels have extended pinboxes today, so overall length and kingpin to bumper length, will be pretty close to the same on those. Within a few inches anyway.
