I am happy that some are posting their LT trailer use blow outs here. It proves blow outs happen no matter what the type or brand of tire you use. May some blow more than others, that is debatable because there are no facts, but the fact does remain...tires can all blow at anytime.
You assume too much from just a couple of reports of a LT that blew out on a trailer and proves nothing.
No one has ever said a LT won't blow out.
No one has ever said a Michelin won't blow out.
Now if we had LT blowout on our trailers dailey or Michelin having the majority of blowouts on a trailer at the rates we see for a certain ST tire brand then your statement may have some merit.
There are better tires types/brands out here for using on a trailer. That is a fact.
Fact because you say so? Ha! You must be new to the internet? LOL
FYI - Trailer Life mag disagrees with this forum, saying ST tires are for trailers and LT for trucks. Until other items are published that conflict that, I will use trailer tires for trailers.
All else is debatable with no facts, just opinion.
Best of luck! Be sure to report back with pictures when the first one fails! And maybe you should search on jimnlin name and read a few of his posts!!! He has more experience than 10 others combined.

Don't care about just one guy. May be he doesn't know what he's doing. Did you inspect his rig? His blow outs? LT tires might work just fine, but are they better as a matter of fact? Nope.
Personally, my entire family has been towing all sorts of non-commercial RV's and toys for 3 generations and I've been towing as long as I've had a license. Though this is MY first travel trailer, its by far my first towing experience with travel trailers and many RV's. On my camper, I currently have over 2800 miles on my OEM set of "china bombs" (Trail America) and they look great thus far. I just had them off this weekend to inspect and lube the wheel bearings. FANTASTIC.
I have never towed with LT tires because I have no reason to switch. I have never had a single tire blow out towing ONLY with ST tires, and ALL thus far have been the "notorious bombs", right down to the little 8" "china bombs" rated for ONLY 45MPH MAX driving, while I drive at 75-85mph on the interstate, with an 800lb HD on board, north-south cross country, multiple times!!!! Never one problem.
ST vs LT is like all the other internet hot debates...gas, oil, air. No facts, just loud opinions on both sides. This is a personal choice, not more, nothing less.
