I did not say LT tires are for trucks only, but "LT" I tire terms DOES STAND FOR LIGHT TRUCK!!!
If LT's for "trailer use only" (which is completely contradictive and probably marketing related so ya'll feel good about the tire saying LT on the side!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) came as OEM tires on a trailer, that's what the OEM engineers wants you to use.
My stance in a nutshell is....one is not better than the other for trailer use based on ZERO facts to state otherwise, what I have read, AND my own experience.
It says LT because it conforms to a different set of regulations. http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov is where you will find them. And yes before you prattle on about what LT means, I agree that it is primarily a light truck tire designation, but that does not preclude it from other uses.
Again...I never said LT tires cant be used for other purposes. Please don't twist my statements.
Fair enough, not really trying to twist your words. I mistook your earlier post as meaning LT tires are for trucks only. I will leave it at that and move on.
