Microwave. Replacement sizes,for older rigs.

All the newer rigs have 30 "wide openings I'm looking to fit one in a 24 "wide opening. the range/ can be convection as well as microwave. Anybody else have this problem?.
I don't want to cut the existing cupboard . Any help would be greatly appreciated , as is all the knowledge I've learnt here.
  • Twomed thanks for the link and all the other responders thank you . Am going out searching now thanks again everyone

So you have a combo micro and vent?

  • I replaced the microwave in our Springdale. We found a good match (not perfect, but close enough) at Wall Mart. I drilled holes through the shelf base and ran screws into the feet of the microwave where they screwed into the base of the microwave. I then took the trim off the old microwave and was able to Jerry Rig it to make up the gap. When done, it looked factory installed. We really liked that microwave too, it was red and pretty!

Have you looked at your old one? Replacing with a 24" counter top unit is likely the perfect replacement.
