- janegowestExplorerIt's been for sale for over 5 months, I know. They moved out of it in June.
I would imagine that units this heavy will not move very fast. How much can we buy a used dually for to haul this thing? - missourijanExplorerWhy don't you ask other Mobile Suite owners? If you haven't found it already, there is an owner's forum, www.suitesowners.com. You can register with little info and post in the prospective owner's thread. You can also ask other owners what they like or dislike about this model. It's not associated with Drv, just an owner's travel club. You should have any used unit inspected by an rv technician, well worth the $$
- stripitExplorerThen again the seller could say this is my price, look the rig over, like it buy it, don't try to deal, if you don't buy it someone will. Have seen both sides of buying used, some will deal to make it go away, others not so much. I always ask, can't hurt. If it is nice, don't let it slip through your fingers. The prices seems very reasonable to me.
- Splashers3Explorer...and when you have it checked over, make sure you hook up water, and then run open sinks, fill up hot water tank and see that it heats, check holding tank valves by draining them - make sure all lights work, refrigerator works, slides, stabilizers, landing gear - even TV and outlets. You may even want to hook it up and tow it a few miles checking breaks and lights. Don't forget the propane system.
Take your time going through this, don't be rushed. Even being a good price the unit is 9 years old.
good luck - allimaxExplorerI suspect this would be the best time of year to buy. That price sounds reasonable to me providing the unit is in good working order with no water damage. Great choice! Nothing like jumping into the game at the top!

What does "retail" mean? I would think that "retail" would be at a dealership. Shouldn't "private party" be less than retail? If so...how much below retail can I negotiate toward, as a general rule?
I'll bet that the other posters thought you were talking about a rig on a dealers lot. Dealers prices are typically always negotiable.
YOur private party seller's price is already below what a dealer would list it for.
No one knows what your seller will accept but him/herself. There is no typical discount with a private seller.
Check around until you know what a good price is for the unit and do your best negotiating. Good luck.
If a 'private party' sale then they have it listed below dealer so as not to compete and may not move much on price.
"Hey....check it out! Same unit on dealers lot is $$$$$ much higher"
You can always make an offer
HERE are some from National Muti-Listing - dan-nickieExplorer

- jsr21ExplorerI sell quite a few of them up here in Canada...I'd say that's a pretty good deal if the unit is nice. Have someone check it over carefully for
water damage/ roof issues, hydraulics etc. Great coach for sure...rated for full time residence. I hope you have a dually pickup.
If it's at a dealer for 29900 they'll probably take a bit less. - Cummins12V98Explorer IIIGood condition, YUP good price.
