Says a lot about the 'character' of a company and how it 'feels' about employees

As much as I feel bad for the employees these things happen.

This is the way most companies close. There are reasons that employees are not allowed to enter the building. You never know how anyone will react to bad news. The safety of the employees has to be considered.
