Montana 3160 RL

I have a 2005 montana 3650 rk and love it, a lot of the newer models have had issues but that goes for SOB's as well some have no problems others lots. Like mentioned earlier go to the montana forum and read for yourself

Oh I'm not. I'm getting Sailun S637's for closer to $600. That being said I was quoted G614's for $1080 and will be selling my Trailer Kings for $400. Hence the figure I posted.

The Sailun is a most excellent, quality built tire..I will be replacing my Westlake tires also with the S637's...very, very reasonably priced.

We love the floorplan and it feels especially roomy for it's length. We also really love the second awning on the door side as we spend a good chunck of time there. Very few floorplans out there with that second awning over the outdoor entertainment center. Makes for a nice second area to set up the Weber grill at the TV! Basement is huge. We liked the theater seats actually being directly across from the tv also.

A downside to the floorplan is that there is a tight spot in the hallway at the bathroom door. The door swings out into the hallway and you really need to open the bedroom door to get in comfortably. It's not a big deal for us but it's something I would point out for you to try when walking through it.

If I had to do it again I may have looked harder for a Legacy package 3160 as the price on a few I've seen lately really isn't that far apart from the non-legacy version. I used that as a bargaining chip also though to get a few more bucks off. To each their own. :)

Nothing a little ingenuity can't fix right? Our non-legacy fortunately had the roller shades and we love 'em. Noticed on the non-legacy version the shades were all over the place. Some were night/day, some were the single mcd's and some were the old school accordions!

You are right the end cap is gorgeous. Our Bristol Bay had a FG end cap and that is about the only thing I can say is a step down on our current unit. Don't worry I made the dealer feel really bad about not having a legacy version on the lot LOL.

Funny you should mention the second awning on the 3160. That was the main reason we almost bought the 3160. However we did not want to give up the door side window so I figured I could have one added to the 3100RL slide. No dice because of the width and we had the slide toppers. The factory, dealer and even Dometic said they can't do it. BS I thought so I bought another 9100 power awning and cut it down to fit and you can see the result. And yes the Legacy package is nice because the rear cap to me looks much better. That combined with the 4100 suspension, MCD roller shades, heated bathroom floor made it worth it to us. We ordered ours with the Goodyear 614's and added disc brakes along with the Joyrider shock upgrade and it pulls and stops very well. We love it!
