Had the same problem on my with 1200 hrs. First tried the fuel pump and didn't help next I replaced the carb. Works like a charm now. Also keep a spare fuel pump and carb just in case. My issue came about from not running it frequently and not adding fuel preservative.
Another thing that will help is to locate and use ethanol-free fuel. It helps prevent such issues in things like ATV's, generators, etc.
It's not too hard to find in most areas. Pure-Gas.org and others can help you locate it.
