Being from Utah you probably don't know how difficult it is to find pure-gas in California. Basically it is only available from performance/speed shops and I believe in the Los Angeles area you have to certify it will only be used for racing. If I showed up with my RV and tried to fill up, it would raise some eyebrows.
The few places listed on Pure-Gas.Org that are not listed as performance shop are in rural areas. Some farm machinery is exempt I believe.
