Motorcycle batteries

I need to buy a new battery for my BMW F650CS. I was thinking of going with a Lithium battery, about twice the price as a AGM type battery. Does anyone have any experience with this type of battery?

Because of the batteries location I don't want to use a lead-acid type battery. If it ever leaked it could do a lot of damage.

    My VRod has a sealed AGM battery mounted horizontally. I've never heard of one leaking.

    Use an AGM battery. One heck of a lot cheaper than a Lithium. Some people have had good luck with the Lithium batteries on their bikes and others, not so much. A lot depends on the charging system. Not worth the risk IMO.

    The wife's Silver Wing has a battery that has to lie on it's side so the terminals are accessible. I use an AGM battery from Wally World and have had no issues with any leakage over the last 5 years.
