^^^^Neither, that's the beauty of the Condor chock. I tie mine to the floor D-rings using the Canyon Dancers and just get them tight enough to keep the bike from swaying from side to side too much. I snug the rear down tight enough to keep sway to a minimum. The front suspension might be compressed a half-inch maybe. Works a champ.
I have an aluminum 4" plate that has slots for the D-rings to fit through, and bolts that stick up for the chocks to sit down over. Everything is secure and takes only a minute or two to remove everything. Here's how it looks:
