Mud Flaps/Rock Guards

Nothing I've ever worried about.

DuraFlap makes some nice HD flaps. Lots of design options. Keeps the truck and RV protected.

Depends on where you are going. Installed serious rear flaps before first trip to Alaska knowing there would be plenty of gravel roads along the way.

For lower 48, hardly necessary except to minimise well, um, mud & dirt from wet highway driving on the trailer.

I whipped up a set out of stainless angle and stainless tube.. mounted truck flaps cut down to length. I put a 2" receiver tube on them and used my trucks receiver hitch as the mount.. \
Just this past year , I was tired of trimming the weeds from around them from behind the shed... so I scraped them..
like stated.. unless your traveling in a lot of stone/ pebble areas, its only water and road dirt for the most part..(which still gets on there anyway)

My FW has aluminum diamond plate all across the front end, except on the storage doors. I've never worried about it. Looks nice and cleans up easy.

that diamond plate is a great idea, did yours come like that factory, or was it added?

My service body came with a set of HD guards for the rear wheels.
It does keep stuff of the fifth wheel but in heavy rain it diverts it to the adjacent lanes in great volume.
Semis passing do the same to us.
Just something to be aware of.

Stromberg Louvered Tow Guard and Weathertech (form fit, no drill) splash guards. I trimmed bottom layers off the tow guard so it would not drag when loaded with the 5th.

I have a painted trailer and want to do what I can to cut down on rock chips.
