my 5er

And its only problem. its a 2002 keystone cougar 281 efs. how hard would it be to fix the delamination on it.

  • If it were mine, I would disassemble the inside and fix all the rot and loose wood. Then I would have a shop do the actual exterior repair.
  • whats eternabond? and it hasn't leaked yet we bought it like this. wonder if liquid flex seal would work?
  • Ok don't laugh but could you replace it with siding, of the rv type?
  • Your call on using it for now, totally understandable, but have you ensured that the leak which caused the problem to begin with has been addressed? You may want to Eternabond , or maybe use the new white liquid rubber tape on all the seams in that area to avoid worsening of the problem.
  • I'm just gonna use it threw this season to see if we like camping or not. then if we do I'm gonna look at something bigger.
  • thank you. it was cheap enough to put some money in to it. right now were using duct tape an it works just don't look the best.
  • Delamination is a very difficult repair - and usually only done for small areas. Large areas such as in the photo usually require replacement of whole panels. A shop that does RV body work would be able to tell you what it would entail and give an estimate of cost.
