Just pick a direction and drive. While I personally would not advocate staying in one place on the coast, driving 4 hours northnor south will get you a long ways. Within that distance will be lots of beaches, light houses, Florence water front, Sea Lion caves,Bandon if your a golfer, and of course, the Oregon dunes for miles of sand in your face fun.
x2 On staying in one place - the winter of 2014 we stayed in 7 campgrounds for a total of 7 weeks
2015 we stayed in four campgrounds for a total of 3 weeks -
with kids I would stay in Newport - The Port of Newport has a nice park just south of the big bridge rate is $39 - lots to do in that area
