My luck ran out.
I pushed my luck with my Tow Max tires. 8 years on a 10.000 lbs.5th wheel and I lost the tread off one. Was doing 50 mph and out side temp was 102.Did very little damage and I replaced all tires with Maxxis 10 ply e rated tires.

- Actually anything can happen to any tire at any time, even new ones come apart. I don't think I would try 8 years on my tires but you got a good service life out of them and you got lucky on not having it tear up the camper. I had a tire come apart on my class A once and it was 20 months old, inside dual tore the hell out of everything including the gas line to the fridge!
- You took a chance of injuring your family or someone else, then had to buy the tires anyway. I would not be proud to post that story. I bet your family would have stayed home if they knew the chance you were taking with them.
- Actually your luck ran out about 3-4 years ago. You just chose to push your luck a few more years. And it worked out very well for you.
