Gravity feed is DOT approved as long as you aren't feeding an injector or carburetor. It's a myth that some people like to put out there that haven't fully read the statutes.
I have an ATI 46 gallon in my truck. Gravity feed took me all of 2hrs to install everything, and that was going very slow. The hardest part was pulling out my metal filer neck to be able to cut it down to put the "T" in. Mine was about $600 shipped with all hardware.
