Has anyone ask their truck manufacturers about warranty issues. The fuel systems on the latest round of truck have become very complex. An injector pump failure can now cost 10 grand.
Does anyone factor in the cost of packing around an extra 400 pounds of fuel and tank?
Do SRW trucks end up being overloaded with the extra fuel. Most larger 5th wheels put the rear axle of TV near their Max.
Just asking! Not attacking! Why does OP say he must have an aux tank. I have had two diesel trucks starting in 95, and have never not been able to get fuel. On our first long trip after retiring we carried 6 gallons of extra diesel. After 6 weeks and getting close to home again, I finally dumped it in to get rid of it. Chris
