I don't buy from people because I trust them. Such as, if I go to any store, I buy because I need the item. Trust has nothing to do with it....but then these employees that do not make a commission have no motivation to be dishonest.
Unfortunately, when money is on the line for the sales person, greed takes over and morals lose out (for the majority of people). I am seeing this more and more, especially in the RV business.
So...I am learning that we need to be guarded and cover all our bases. Make sure everything IS in writing. I learned that many years ago from my very shrewd mother.
In the ideal world, we should be able to trust the salesman. I have met one or two of those. But, for the most part, I am seeing that they are dishonest and will use any ploy to make a sale. It is very sad, but it is what it is. I have been VERY disappointed by this aspect of our RV shopping!
But, we have to buy an RV somewhere, so we need to be as shrewd as we can, and look out for ourselves. I have become so jaded to the point that I don't trust ANY salesman anymore and am looking at every salesman with distrust...constantly checking behind what they say...as on here, for instance. Sigh....will be glad when the shopping is over!!
