I agree. With so many types of trailers, hookups/hitches, it is understandable why there is so much confusion. In the OPs case, I don't think the seller, or installer were confused. It was a matter of making a sale, no matter how badly mismatched the TV/FW.
Anyway it seems the OP has long since left the building. Hope they get it straightened out, to better enjoy the towing experience!
