Need Jayco Fifth Wheel Feedback

My wife and I have decided that its time for a 5er update. Being that I tow with a half ton truck I have narrowed one of my choices down to the Jayco 26.5 Eagle HT models without the bunks.

I have been trying to read as much as I can on them and the budget allows for a 2010-2011 model. Ive read a bunch of bad reviews about the Jayco's and how they wow you with cosmetics and that allot of stuff breaks or fails.

Is that indeed the case or is it just the positive owners are not posting ?

Any known issues in those years I should check when I look at them ? Things to stay away from ?

I got so lucky with my last used one I am just trying to do it again.

One of the ones I found is a 2011 that was bought in 2012 and used for one trip and then stored inside so the roof etc should be perfect shape. They did not have many pictures in the listing so I have asked for a bunch more as they are a 7 hour drive away from me.
  • I had a 04 JAYCO 25rks for 5 years and I never had any issues with it. Quality product.

Yes I posted over there as well, but always get great answers here.
  • We have had our Jayco (bought new in 2003) for 13 years and have never had major issues with it. This is our 3rd Jayco. It is a 29' fiver.

All coaches have some issues pop up periodically. Jayco does make a very good product in comparison to many out there.

Due to normal and abnormal wear and tear, we expect to do general maintenance as you would perform on your home.

    Best of Luck!
