Need new GPS looking at RV GPS what do you like

I use the one on my iPhone. It works great, gives me turn-by-turn verbal directions with a display, and talks to me through my Bluetooth. Not only that, it has free updates and came with the phone. I have owned both Garmin and TomTom in the past and this is the best so far. So far it has been more accurate. The only down side is that the screen isn't as large as some, but I can get a mount that will hold it in a decent place.

I never use it very long so I don't worry about killing the battery. Also you have to be somewhere that has phone coverage or wi-fi service to start the trip, but after that it tracks off the GPS.

For now I won't waste my time with the others.

Skip, you are SO smart, (buying from Amazon:R). Guess you liked the one I have and Randy as well. Updates on mine are free, don't know how other "seller's" handle this matter.

Done quite a bit of research on this. I'm going to buy the RVND7720 by Rand. BTW, the Good Sam GPS is almost exactly the same as the RVND7720. Just has a GS label on it and the GS parks loaded in it. The GS unit at Camping World is around $329 and the 7720 on Amazon is around $280. I'll get it from
Amazon and load the parks I like in the database myself.

Why carry more stuff?

We prefer our RMD 7710 and it stays in our truck so not an inconvienience by any means...the 'tool' is ready to go when we are. Sits up on the dash and takes less room than other devices. Also will say gives you more info than from an IPad or cell phone.

Our Ipads and computers are already in our rig so there is no transfer back and forth.

Just our opinion of course but to each his own.

That Rand McNally GPS app looks nice. If I was thinking about a dedicated GPS, I'd sooner spend $99 on this. But I'm not.

And there are so many other options, for free or not very much money. I've gotten along for three/four years pulling my trailer without a GPS that shows height restrictions, propane on board, etc, guess I'll keep going with what I've already downloaded to my iPad. But if it was, say, $25 or less . . .

I like the idea of having it on a tablet rather then a dedicated gps unit. Why carry more stuff unless you have to. But the only list Apple? No PC or droid.

I have a Magellan (this is my third) and I like it .... obviously Obgraham is not a fan of Magellan why ????? GPS's is a personal thing they all good it depends what you are looking for

(Edit)- Had a 7710, got my 7720 in September of 2012 (Serial Number 24).
Daughter now has my 7710.

I have used two Garmins, an I-Phone, and a Rand 7710.

I'll take the Rand every time.
