You fail to mention payload capacity of your truck. Thats probably the most important thing to consider imo...
I owned almost the same truck back then. That trucks max payload is well under 3000lbs. Just your trailer pin alone is over the payload of your truck(+600lbs over?), even when your truck is empty.
