Formula: RAWR-Actual rear axle weight = Remaining axle capacity.
Pin weight on 5er can't/sholdn't/you don't want it to exceed remaining capacity.
Start with RAWR (Rear Axle Weigh Rating). The number is right there on your door jamb.
Weigh your truck. Separate axles on each pad at the CAT scale.
Take RAWR and SUBTRACT the Rear Axle Weight from the CAT scale weight slip.
Remaining balance is what you have left before you EXCEED axle weights.
If 5er's estimated pin weight is higher than that (which it likely is), you would EXCEED the RAWR, which is probably the most critical weight. If you are still within the RAWR, then start looking at other numbers. Once you exceed your RAWR, you are looking at potential for bent axle's, busted axles etc...
There's really not a lot of confusion on the 5th wheel weight towing capacities. You simply need to obtain enough information (or provide enough information), to be able to do the research.
