- Me_AgainExplorer IIIThe one I saw on the coast of Oregon years ago had Michelin XPS Ribs on it and TV was a Volvo class 7-8 tractor. Those tires will easily go 7-8-9 years and be cheaper or equal in the long run vs china bombs.

Doesn't seem like enough weight to require dual tandem axels, can't remember ever seeing them on a 5ver
Maybe “not” required....but that was their chosen design. Plenty of load carrying capabilities, without the “scuffing” characteristics of the triple axles!
If I had to replace our old Teton....these (Mountain Aire and Kountry Aire) would be on my shortlist! - Keithk3628Explorermemtb

Yep! It was branded MountainAire. Tandem Dually's. I'd hate to buy tires for one of those... I see one on a seasonal site at a campground we frequent.
They are E rated LT's what $200(8) each?,mine has H rated (4)17.5 $400 each.
so about a wash cost wise,I have found 17.5's last much longer,9 years out of the original set. - Me_AgainExplorer IIIGot a Volvo 610, 670 etc. They are really heavy.
Actual the recent 350/3500 dualies will handle on. GVWR 20,000 in 2005. Chris - Tim_NowickiExploreryup, gotta be cool lookin' I'd like to get a look at that suspension.
- memtbExplorerYes! Very quality ....and very heavy! We see one every now and then around here!
Edit: just looked-up the spec’s on a 38 ft. It’s dry weight is 16K pounds, about the same as our 39 foot. So....it’s not that heavy! - Road_PhantomExplorerThis isn't a trailer you would crank the miles on. It's more of a seasonal or permanent type trailer that has the option of moving it.

- Roger10378Explorer IIA friend has one. Dealer wouldn't have even talked to him if he didn't have a class 8 to pull it with.
