Never lube bearings
I have a fiver with 8000# Dexter axles with never-lube bearings. Has anyone changed these bearing themselves? Do you really need a press to change the bearings?

I changed ours out a few years back, I bought the bearings from Dexter and had a shop with a 50 ton press install them. I removed the snap ring that retains the bearing and it was a PITA. When we get to our homebase in the spring I'm going to convert to disk brakes so they will be changed again. Remember they are Never Lube not never replace or check.
