Never lube bearings
I have a fiver with 8000# Dexter axles with never-lube bearings. Has anyone changed these bearing themselves? Do you really need a press to change the bearings?

We might be mixing up Never lube with Easy lube, never messed with Never lube, but yes I would never use a drift punch to install the race.
You are right that this conversation has become confusing due to mixing Never Lube with regular bearings.:E
I changed my Never lubes last spring after 10 years of use. No way could I have removed them with a drift. Had to take the hubs to a machine shop to have the bearings pressed out/in.
