New 5th wheel & now new Tow Vehicle

B & W all the way

I have had both Reese and Curt. My current is the Curt Q24. Very nice for the price. Bought it on amazon prime and delivered to the house in two days. Simple assembly and sight indicator for when locked or unlocked.

Are abandoning your Andersen?

One of the problems is that these hitches are so heavy they destroy the box. There really should be shipped on a pallet. However that would cost more. Chris

Hi... I have a 2016 Ram diesel long bed and had Dodge install a curt 25th hitch to tow my 5th wheel. I like both the truck and the hitch. Hitch has color coding green, yellow and red for the various stages of the hitch. The coding can be seen fromy the cab. Congrats. On the new rig and tow truck... Jim2007

Thank you all for the feedback. I will do some research today and hope to get it installed this week before picking up 5th wheel friday. Of course after i put 500 miles on new truck. Once I decide on hitch, I will return here to post what I got.

Pay attention to your pin weight when picking a hitch model, you don't want to get the model that is too light. Another relative issue is your pinbox. Some of the nice Trail Air's and similar add inches to your front height. You may find that the height adjustability of the hitch you select is critical to you being able to tow level or near level.

I use an old Hijacker, Had it in one ford, now have used it in two GMC's, installed it myself each time.
Has worked for me, have always had full 8 foot boxes, the only thing I would change is I would go a double pivot next time.
