New 5th wheel?

Well, we've narrowed it down to Cardinal, Cedar Creek and Trilogy (a little nervous about that one). If we can ever work up steam enough to empty the S&B we may even full-time. Looking at (mostly) the front bath models. So, whatcha think? Yeas, nays? Thanks for feedback.

I would say go with Forest River for sure. We have a 2011 Cedar Creek, and really like it. We have no problems. It was made well. If I was going to buy another 5th wheel,I would look at the Silver Back. The Cedar Creek and Silver Back have the same basic frame and workmanship. Both great 5th wheels, but the Silver Back does not have the same ammenties as the Cedar Creek. The Silver Back is cheaper that the CC, and I think lighter.
The people at Forest River are very friendly and helpful.

Love my Cedar Creek even after 10 years it has never had a major issue. CC is one of two if I were in the market. The other is Arctic Fox.

    X2 on the Creek.
We FT in ours and IMO I like it over the Cardinal because I like hung walls not laminated sidewalls, IMO.
  • Never been in a Cedar Creek, Trilogy was a POS we looked at and friends have a nice Cardinal they seem to like.
  • WE STILL love our 2009 CC Silverback and have only 1 problem...the converter died last year - easy replacement. We still get compliments on the finish.

    I'd by another CC.

Have you taken a look at the Lifestyle 5th wheel

  • Another vote for cardinal. Have had very few issues with my 08
  • I had a Cardinal for 12 years and when I traded it in this past winter while in Florida it was still in excellent condition. Very few problems over the years. I would have kept it, but now that we're snowbirding for months at a time it was a bit small.....and getting older.

We traded the Cardinal for a 2015 Cedar Creek Silverback. Not the top of the line Cedar Creek, but still very nice interior with plenty of quality built into it.
