New Blue Ox Bed Saver
Just got our hitch back from Blue Ox with the new Bed Saver (new part # for them) - looks good and this is one part I hope to not need.

Interesting enough- this thread must have spawned the other thread about B&W Hitches and Bed Savers. User rconkin said it happened to him and described the exact situation I laid out above.
