Blue Ox Bed Saver Doesn't Work on Pullrite Superglide?

I have a 24K Curt hitch that I installed a Blue ox on. I look at the $220.00 for the saver as cheep insurance.

Just do a pull test before lifting the landing gear. Problem solved.

There our other "bed savers" that are simpler and cheaper and don't look like a big wart hanging off your hitch.

Strange,I have never and mean never high hitched my pullright..I have tried to high hitch my pullright purposely and cant do it.To me it appears to be impossible to high hitch it.Maybe older versions are different?The jaw will not close unless im in correctlyIf that jaw wraps around I was always under the impression atleast with a pullright you were locked in right.I cant get mine to close unless I hit it dead on.This is a newer version of the superglide I have.

But none the less the best option you have is to look and make sure your locked in and do that pull test.Do those two things and you wont have a problem..

One thing I have noticed with my pullright is IF somehow it came out of the head when starting off the kingpin will fall down to the slider rails.Ive measured and I think in my case the slider rails would save my bed rails.Unlike a typical non sliding hitch where the kingpin will try to fall right into the bed but hits your bed rails first..But I do have the 3 inch hitch extender bars to give me more height so that has something to do with it.

I high hitched while a newbie way back when (2009 or 10) with my PullRite. Since I was pulling straight when my fiver slid back, the kingpin landed between the rails saving me any damage to the truck. Heck of a thud and really embarassing, but no bodily harm, no damage, no money lost.

Do NOT confuse the Blue Ox Bed Saver with the Butch Service unit. The Butch Service unit will work with the SuperGlide. The Blue Ox unit is very different and may not.

When I purchased my Bedsaver. Blue Ox did not have a model to fit my Hensley BD3 hitch. However I shipped my hitch to them and they fabricated a bedsaver for me. They paid shipping both ways. Yes I shipped my brand new $2K hitch to them.
Shipping my hitch was the best most efficient way for them to get a prototype made.

I have a Bed Saver from Butch's Service on my 15K Super Glide...The reality of it is this: If I'm too dumb to check to see if my hitch is closed why will I check to see if I latched the Bed Saver?....Incidentally you need to find a cheaper place to buy your hitches. $2,000.00 for a 15k ?? Mine was $800.00 online, new of course. Where are people like this when I want to sell something?
