Why Westlake Tires?
What size tire.......and load rating/psi?
Again I ask.... - SHExplorerI believe the Sailun tires are manufactured to more stringent specs. I used to have those but can't find the document at the moment. If you are sticking with E rated tires, Maxxis is a solid choice...I would avoid the Goodyear "Marathon" line. Had very bad luck with those.
- fj12ryderExplorer IIIThe only one I can think of would be the Goodyear.

Any tire made in China is a "China bomb" and I'll avoid them at all expense. Sailun was on the short list but after I found out they're made in China they are no longer an option.
So what tires on your list of approved tires? - Any tire made in China is a "China bomb" and I'll avoid them at all expense. Sailun was on the short list but after I found out they're made in China they are no longer an option.

Sailun are also made in China and they have an excellent track record.
Yeah, well they're still made in China (BOOM!!). Let us know how they work out for ya. - fj12ryderExplorer IIIThey certainly could stand more than 80 psi since they are "G" rated tires, and 110 psi rated.
- MudChuckerExplorerWe run the west lakes on our equipent trailers, my small deck and my dually deck take a beating and the Westlakes take a lot of abuse. Most of the tradesmen with overweight covered trailers swear by these as well
My dual deck loaded is 33k pounds on the axels, and I regularly get that thing into a jack knife where I'm skidding it around on gravel roads in cottage country... I can't believe the abuse they take.
With all the gravel road abuse I don't epect much mileage out out of any of my truck or trailer tires, if I see 20k miles I'm good. - lawnspecialtiesExplorerI, for one, love Westlake tires.
Nothing compares to G rated tires but I had Westlake Es on my Work & Play for 8000 miles and they were flawless. I use them on my landscape equipment trailers.
As with other brands, keep them out of constant direct sunlight when stored and maintain 80 psi. - rhagfoExplorer IIIPictures of the new boots required!!!
