Goodyear Press Release
Looks like only D and E load ratings.
Note less aggressive tread pattern. I have long claimed that the A/S like tread on ST tires contributed to the cap getting ripped off. Chris - LantleyNomad

As you said GY backed up their tires, you did not have an insurance claim like you would with any other tire maker.
Article mentioned IS about D and E tires. I was responding to a post talking about GY "G" tires.
Back in 2007 Goodyear was the only real choice. However in 2017 we have options. The price difference between the Sailun's and Goodyear will pay for a 2nd insurance policy.;) - wilber1Explorer

I think I mentioned "Since 2007"
You did.....
Except my 2007 G614's BLEW at 3 1/2 yrs old
GY PAID for replacement and DAMAGES----BAD tires
Then my 2010 G614 BLEW at 2 yrs old
GY again PAID-----bad tires
They had the carcasses returned to them, inspected them BEFORE they made the decision to pay claims. THEY stated bad tires not me.
AS for the GY Tires in article........isn't the article about D thru E load range tires :H - Cummins12V98Explorer III"And there for a couple years those GOLD standard tires were having some issues themselves."

Well, the Sailun is as good a tire at half the price, that does indeed make it a better choice if not a necessarily better tire. But when there were maybe two choices of "G" and "H" tires for RV's, being the GOLD standard wasn't really saying too much. :) And there for a couple years those GOLD standard tires were having some issues themselves.psford wrote:

On the FR forums, this has been discussed. But the specs seem somewhat sketchy.
Your thread title says greater capacity and speed. But I haven't seen anything definitive yet. Some were posting numbers far greater than the G614s. That seems odd.
I love the idea of this tire and truly hope it does well. But like YnotTurbo, I'll keep my G614s for as long as I can and hopefully by the time they're worn out, reviews will be out on whether this is a great tire or just another TowMax.
Although the G614 worked great for me for nearly 7 years, their price per tire has now gotten outrageous.
IMHO, the Sailun S637 for half the price is arguably the better tire, its certainly gotten better reviews then the G614's.
Since 2007 the GY "G" and "H" tires have been the GOLD standard. If you want to talk price fine but you have no proof the Sailun is a better tire. - goducks10ExplorerHard to beat the 6 year warranty.
