New Living Room Bunkhouse Floorplans

Hi there. My family has been camping in a 5er for about 4 years now. We keep it stationary at a campground and have a golf cart and all that and use it as a weekend getaway from the city. We love our 365SAQ but as the kids have gotten a little older our needs have changed. We don't need a huge bunkhouse room and extra bathroom (its nice, but a pain to keep it all clean). What we really need is a bunkhouse that is smaller but affords us the ability to have a living room that is much more like a couples coach than a bunkhouse. We have seen a few models lately that do this and wondering if there are any we are missing as its hard to keep up with all of it. We are going to the RV Show here in Charlotte this weekend and hope to see some we might have missed and walk through those that we are waiting to see.

Crossroads Cruiser 345BH
Palomino Sabre 36KSTB
Sandpiper 371REBH
Sandpiper 380HG5
Coachman Chaparral 360IBL

Any more I am missing??
  • I bought a 2015 Grand Design Reflection 323BHS. It's 37' long and doesn't have the half bath. At 11K lbs. and 2K pin weight, it's an easier size to deal with than one of the 41' 14K lb. models. And it's still got 4 sliders.

We ordered the SuperSofa option which is a leather love seat recliners with a left hand and a right hand recliner on each side. All are wall huggers, and the most heavenly seating I've ever been in. We especially like the outside kitchen with two burners, a gas grill, microwave, sink and refrigerator.
  • We are actually working with the Coachman dealer here at the show to figure out how to get a 395RL from Brookstone, but unfortunately they don't have any Brookstone dealers on most of the east coast so its a one off order for us. We also checked out the Sanibel real living room and that is our backup.. its beautiful as well. Lots of options. If I had the money, honestly I would order one of the big DRV bunk houses... but 150K is a little much for a fifth wheel for me right now. Thanks for everyones comments.
  • We walked through the Sandpiper 371REBH this afternoon at the Virginia Beach show. I was very impressed with it. The interior was very comfortable and well thought out.
  • Wow ependydad, thanks. i am not sure why we didn't see those two, but the 395RL is a VERY likely target for us now. Its got the features we want like the bigger 4 door fridge and that layout is just about perfect. Thanks.
  • Neither are shorter, but the Coachmen line has a couple:

    395RL
    390QSMB

I have been in contact with Coachmen regarding the 395RL. The fridge is NOT accessible with the door-side slide closed/in. And there is no ability to have an outdoor kitchen (though, the 360IBL has an "outdoor center" with cooktop and super small fridge).

I really like these layouts as we "travel" way more than we "camp" and there are usually 6 of us (4 adults, 2 kids). These layouts over ones like yours and mine offer much better interior entertainment layouts.

I really miss the outdoor kitchen option. And my wife greatly prefers u-shaped dinettes. The 1/2 bath for us is sort of hard to give up since we do travel with my in-laws, but I recognize we're different that way.
