floorplans

Been 5th wheel folks for years. We are in the process of buying a lake house, so we've been kicking around selling the Pinnacle and buying a Class A. I like the precept floorplans but don't want a gas rig. Who makes a floorplan with theater seating with a TV lift across from the seating? Only one I've found is the precept.
  • Our 2015 Discovery 40E has L-shaped couch with 50" TV directly across on an electric lift that lowers to reveal a window. Our DP also has excellent surround sound.
  • If I understand correct that floorplan is not that uncommon. With Newmar they practically all come with about a 50" TV on a lift and you can have any kind of seating across from the TV. We have a sofa but many opt for recliners. I thought the TV lift was stupid as it's more to go wrong. So far so good.
  • One of the smaller DP's with theater seats and TV across from them may be the THOR ARIA 3401. IF it has to be on a "lift" (I guess that means it retracts?) then maybe the 3901.
  • Thanks. That's an idea. We really like the front living layout. I'll look at that floorplan. Not sure what we'll do. If the lake house deal goes through, we've primarily used our 5th wheel as a stationary spot for weekend trips on annual sites. The motorhome might work better in the future for trips. I'll have to buy a new TV to hit the road, so a change might be in order. Thanks for the reply
  • Phaeton 40IH and other models have theater seating with TV lift across the coach.

The Precept has only a 56" TV. How about any Class A you like and get a video projector like the Epson Home Cinema 2150 for under $700 and a portable screen such as the 80" Epson Duet for under $160. Put the screen up between the driver and passenger seat. Get a coach configured with seating where you can look to the front comfortably maybe with an L-couch on one side and a swivel recliner on the other. Beat that for screen size!
