Has anyone replace floor with Coretec luxury vinyl flooring?
I have a bid to replace my carpet with Coretec flooring. Its a snap together flooring with a cork backing for added insulation/sound management--they say. He also said that water could penetrate where it snaps together, but wouldn't be easy. He suggested a cotton rug around kitchen, shower, etc. I'm just concerned about the water issue, especially around the shower as the door drips on the floor whenever we shower. If you have used this product or know someone who has I'd appreciate their experiences. It's pretty expensive.2.3KViews1like6CommentsOrange County Calif. service recommendations
Its time to have some items looked at - House AC's, slide maintenance...etc. Anyone have experience in the OC with a particularly good place? What about that Mobil Maintenance company that advertises? Or any suggestions for a person who is trustworthy, experienced, reasonably priced...etc? Class A 2008 Fiesta 35' Thanks for your input! Am I breaking any laws by not moving left? I was driving my motorhome through the construction zone cattle chutes this morning when I saw the sign: "Trucks and Buses Left Lane Only". Since the exit was in a few miles anyway, I stayed in the right lane because, in heavy bumper-to-bumper traffic, it is tough moving from the left lane. My motorhome is not registered as a truck nor a bus, but it is just as big. Has anyone got nabbed for staying right?8.6KViews0likes39CommentsCoachman Mirada floor replacement
Hey all. We found some soft spots in our kitchen floor. Both are under where the slide out is when its retracted. No signs of water leakage and there is no plumbing over the spots. We will keep looking for leaks. Does anyone know a good way to cut the plywood floor? The coach has steel joists. I'm sort of stumped on how to cut the plywood with out hosing the saw blade when it hits the first steel joist. I'm trying to find a toe kick saw for rental and will use one if can find one. The other problem is that this plywood is an odd thickness? Not 1/2" more like 9/16. Just enough off that 1/2 wont match at a joint. Thanks Mike1.8KViews0likes7CommentsUpdating TVs
Hello all! I'm a newbie to RVing I just purchased a 2008 Four Winds Mandalay 40H Friday and one of the first things I noticed was the outdated televisions. I am wanting to update them with new LED flat screens. My question is... Are there specific type of TVs and mounts used to mount them or does the typical mounts you buy for your residential house work? Any recommendations or things to avoid? All information is welcomed. Trying to do it right, THE FIRST TIME.85Views0likes7CommentsForemost Insurance - Opinions?
Hi Team, As we enter the world of Class A. I have begun looking for Insurance. The coach coach we are purchasing (a reallly cool Monaco Vesta) is worth bout $100K. I got quotes (for similar coverage) in the range of $1800 to $1250 from the usual suspects (Progressive, GMAC, GS, etc.). Then I tried Foremost (a division of Farmers). For better coverage than the others (higher limits than I was got from the others) they were $950. Any inputs/thoughts on Foremost? Sure tempted to go with them. Thanks Dan EDIT: GEICO BLEW THEM ALL AWAY SEE POST BELOW1.8KViews0likes10Comments120 Volt Water Pump
Does anyone out there have a 120 VAC water pump in there coach? We don't boondock and was just wondering if there was an advantage (higher GPM etc) to a 120 Volt pump. We always are running our genny or hooked up to shore power (or can turn the inverter on) so no real need to stick with 12 VDC pump. We aren't having pump issues, just thinking about the water flow at the shower and faucets. Thanks and Merry Christmas!6.6KViews0likes22CommentsCan’t remove AC cover for maintenance
The screws that hold the AC cover on—I can’t get one out. When I try to remove it, the female threads, which are under the AC cover, spin along with the screw. Tried penetrating oil, pulling up on the AC cover, and putting a piece of wire under the screw head and pulling up. Before I grind off the screw head to the the AC cover off to oil fan and general cleaning, does anyone have any better ideas to get that one screw out?3.7KViews0likes12Comments
